Recommendations for PSU / Hard Drive

Hi everyone, i'm wondering what type of PSU I should be getting for my home-build. I am also wondering if the 500GB WD Caviar Black is worth getting over the 1TB WD Caviar Green.

CPU: i5 - 4670K
GPU: EVGA GeForce GTX 760
MoBo: Gigabyte z87M D3HP
Memory: G.Skill Ripjaws X 8G (2 x 4GB)
Storage: 500GB WD Caviar Black
SSD: Samsung 840 Pro 120GB
Case: Cooler Master N500 Mid Tower

XFX Pro 550W is what I'd suggest.

Black drives are overpriced for little improvement. I'd pick up a Blue or Barracuda. 5400RPM is to be avoided.

the cavier green has had critical design flaws historically (last three years). 500gb black will probably suffice, depending on what your storing beyound game data. Movies etc. 1TB barracuda is good value by comparison.

The minimum recommended is 600w but on good psu's one could go lower. Seasonic preferably.

XFX is seasonic-built.

There's very little point in getting a Black. I'd pick up a 500GB or 1TB (depending on your needs) Blue or Barracuda.

Thanks, i'll get a 1tb blue. I'm also going to be overclocking my CPU and GPU. Do I need a stronger PSU? I have a Seasonic G-650 Gold in mind.

if you got the dollars i'd stay above 600w, despite the quality of the chosen psu. Especially if you choose to oc both cpu and gpu. As much as 120w give/or take.

It's a 760 and a 4670K. There's enough headroom that you could run it on a 450W and still OC it a little.

Both parts are very frugal.

Avoid CX. Corsair cheaped out on the caps, so they might fail early.

Thats probably over the top, but i'm sticking with my recommendation.
I'm well aware a quality psu can handle it, which is why it was recommended in the first place. Add in a bit of OC'ing (or a lot) and situation changes. A 600w + will perform with same efficiency in a lesser state of stress for only a few dollars more.
