i need help if this ram compatible with this mb's

i just check this ram in g skill website http://www.gskill.com/en/product/f3-14900cl9d-8gbxl
and found out that gigabyte ga 970 ds3p, asrock 970 extreme r2.0 and m5a97 le r2.o is not on the QVL list so may i ask if u guys who have this ram and this boards that i post is currently working fine and there's no need to change on the bios just plug and play

Depending on the board it may not natively run at 1866, you may have to go into the bios and set it to the XMP profile. It may show up as 1333, but it should run fine.

No there are lots of online guides. What menus and selections you have will changed based on your motherboards bios menus and such but generally the settings are very similar.

With new DRAM a mobo will boot up to it's default, which normally is 1066 or 1333 w/ AMD, you can then either set the DRAM up manually or or (easier) see if the mobo supports DRAM ocing profiles, AMD using a number of methods, most common are DOCP, EOCP and XMP, find that, enable it and select the freq of your DRAM
