Hi guys,

First of all, this are my specs:
Processor:
AMD FX 8350 (Black Edition)
Graphics Card:
EVGA GeForce GTX 650 Ti SSC 2GB
RAM Memory:
8GB KINGSTON DDR3 RAM
SSD Memory:
Samsung SSD 111GB
HDD Memory:
Seagate Barracuda ST1000DM003 1TB
Motherboard:
MSI 760GA-P43 (FX)
Case:
COOLER MASTER Elite 310
CPU Fan Cooler:
Cooler Master Hyper 212 EVO
--------------------------------------------------------------------------
My GPU is at around 73 degrees when idle. I think that causes the lag, but not sure. It isn't a hardware problem. The first time I got this lag was when I re-installed Java. I need a solution because otherwise I'll just re-install Windows :'(  . Someone find me a solution :bounce:

Thanks in advance,

Dirk

have you been experiencing this problem lately or was it there the time you first installed your gpu? Have you tried uninstalling Java and checked again? Also, have installed any additional case fans in your case?

I got this problem since Tuesday, I did uninstall Java several times. And yes, I have a case fan that is blowing air out.

Sounds like the system has picked up an infection, try running a full virus and malware sweep and see if that clears things up, if possible run both in Safe Mode.

just do a System Restore, select a restore point before tuesday or when you got this problem popping up. It will set your system your system to selected date by uninstalling any software installed after that date not your personal data. See if that helps you out.

I did this, but there are only options for 28-03 how can I go back further?

check the option as stated in pic and see if you can find more restore points:

And to boot into safe mode, just keep pressing F8 before windows logo appears or when starting your pc.

There aren't more restore points (even if I press that) :(

Then that's the furthest point you could go. Other things you can try are updating Nvidia drivers, make sure they are not Beta version and install latest chipset drivers. If you don't find any infection after running Antivirus scan or Malware scan, just try resetting the bios settings to default. If that doesn't help, re-install Windows.

I think re-installing Windows 7 will definitely fix my problem.
Fresh start. :'(  Bye bye

The problem solved itself. I'm so happy! My GPU is now 29 degrees when idle :)  Thanks everybody who came up with solutions!

glad somehow it got solved, but still that can't be permanent solution. I would still keep an eye for temperature fluctuations just as precaution. Anyway, good luck :)

Yeah, I'll keep my eyes open. I think it was Malware. Malwarebytes did the job I think
