I have a question.
If you have two different graphic cards, that both run the same game on the same settings.
Are the graphics the same or can they be different?

Many graphics cards have similar performance, though they may not be the same card.
There are a bunch of reasons for this:
1) A card may be over clocked or underclocked to yield better (or worse) performance, which may be similar to another card.
2) A higher end card may be bottle necked by other low end components.
3) One computer may have heat issues, or other issues causing bottlenecks.
4) etc.

All in all, the fact that 2 computers yield similar results on a game or other benchmark, or even if 2 graphics cards on the same base system yield the same performance, it doesn't go to show that they are the same card.

I'm confused about the question now.
The point of settings is that the same settings on the same game, will lead to the same visuals, if both the cards that the game is run on can support it.
With the exception of things like physx on and off. 2 games will look the same at the same settings on the same monitor, even if they are using different graphics cards.
