Hey, I have an important question. I recently bought a Diamond radeon hd 7770 graphics card along with a new Acer Aspire TC 105 desktop. I realised that my desktop has stock 300w power supply.
I know that this graphics card requires more than 500w power.
So I'm thinking of replacing my power supply.
can anyone try to link me a power supply over at least 500w for a cheap price from futureshop, best buy, or any other store?
Would really appreciate it!!!

Hey, the The hd 7770's max power is 80watts they put "500"watts as a recommendation depending on the specs. but a hd 7770 does not use 500watts. 80watts -> 6amps. if you look at your psu and see how much amps on the 12volt rail that would help. BTW changing the psu wont increase performance.

OEM's massively overstate PSU requirements. I'd bet that computer never uses over 200w. However, a lot of OEM PSUs are horrible. Most anything from seasonic, XFX, antec, corsair, or rosewill in the 450-550w area would power that well.

Rosewill are bad units.

thanks for the information man! But my power supply does not include a 6 pin power connector.
It has 2 4-pin molex cables.
That's why I'm thinking of replacing it

if it doesnt have a 6pin connector i DONT recommend it. getting the cx430 comes with a 6pin pci-e connector and should power the build with no problem at only 19.99$ at pc part picker.

It could, if the system is running right on the edge.
