Hi. Been Googling and browsing on the forum here, but would appreciate recommendations for a 64GB pen drive based on its read/write performance. I need it to supplement HDD space when running Microsoft Flight Simulator 2004 (will be putting terrain mesh bgl files on it, if anyone reading this is familiar with FS2004: they are read by the flight simulator exe programme to create detailed, realistic world terrain data - hills, mountains etc., but there's no writing goes on, as far as I know). So in other words, this is a 'working drive', not used just for storage.

Price is a factor, but I don't want to buy something that looks good on Amazon, but turns out in practice to have low read/write performance (Amazon reviews are of limited help here!).

Moving abroad in 2 weeks and need by then, so advice appreciated. Thanks.

Martin

Even though it's USB 3.0, I think SanDisk's USB 3 drive is one of the best, even on USB 2. I use them around the lab for booting linux; They have decent random performance, and it's not going to be limited by USB 3 thoughput.
