Hi guys
well after many months of buying components here and there ( and being given one ) i have the pc i need for running the games and applications i use,but what do you guys think
1) cpu : core i5 3330 (3ghz) .. this cost me £41 from our local CEX store .. i traded in some old ps2 and xbox games ( and a HD5670 ) and this meant i could get this cpu for such a good price ( originally sold for £90 )
2) vtx3d radeon HD6790 ...my neighbour gave me this for fixing his pc and also installing a new psu and a MSI GTX560ti ..... this gives me ample power combined with the core i5 3330 to handle most games at reasonable detail .... used a molex to 6pin adapter as my 500w ocz stealthstream psu only has one 6pin .. works great
3) sandisk readycache 32gb ... this may not be as good as a proper ssd, however it does improve game loads and boot times ... the trick however is to build the cache with your most used programs ... however when i installed the HD6790 i had to remove one of my storage drives ( as the sata cable was interfering with the card ) and this then made the cache reset ... not a big problem though as it will simply rebuild the cache
other specs include 8gb of corsair XMS3 ddr3 memory,a 1tb sata HDD and a dvdrw drive ( samsung ) .... and finally a gigabyte H61MA-D2V motherboard
overall very happy but your opinons will be much appreciated
cheers guys !

Pretty solid system. only thing I see is that the GPU will probably need upgraded if you like playing games on high settings @ 1080p

thanks mikey
yes,i know the HD6790 will be the first component that needs replacing, infact i have my eye on a R9 270X .... these are good gpu,s that not only perform better than the HD6790 but are more efficent aswell ...
the core i5 3330 should keep me going for a while .. i was especially happy with this due to the price... £41 for a core i5 does not come around that often so i snapped it up ..
thanks again mate !

The 6790 is a pretty good card. You should go for a more powerful GPU if you want to upgrade, such as a GTX770. 270x is not bad, but since you have a good i5, the 770 would be a better choice(or the R9 280x, if you want to stick with AMD).
