Want to buy a budget PC which can not only game but also do a bit of CPU intensive task
I know all of this is not possible in a budget PC but I want to place my best bets
I'm confused between the following parts:
Fx 6300 and i5 4440
r7 260x and Nvidia 750ti
Mention of good motherboards for your respectively selected CPU will also be appreciated
For the rest of the parts i have chosen to go with:
RAM:Corsair Vengeance DDR3 8 GB
HDD :Seagate Barracuda 1TB
Power:Corsair Builder 430W 80+ Bronze Certified ATX Power Supply
Also which OS would be better :
Windows 7 (OR) Windows 8
And thanks in advance for the help
An immediate response would be really appreciated
Cheers

That thread same thing as your question, $800 build guide, i5 or 8320 processors and motherboards to match.

Windows 8 is great, offers faster boots, newer, and now boots into desktop so no reason to start with windows 7 anymore.

You said cpu intensive, so that's why I linked this one, it offers 8320 which is 8core vs your 6 core, should be around same price as well, but if you want the 6300 just use the asus motherboard mentioned, its awesome and the one ive had and love.

I know its probably over your budget even though you didn't mention budget, but just downgrade the graphics card, but use the processors. I'd personally go with 7870 for $150 for graphics, next personal step up would be a gtx 770 for $320. Everything else in the middle isn't really worth the upgrade over the 7870 or is so close to price but performance is surpassed by the 770. If you want to game, I wouldn trecommend anything less than a comparable 7870.

Also, your power supply, especially if you go amd route, you need to get larger. Gpu's alone take 250-300w on load, and processors will take 100w on load minimal, mine like 300w lol. SO use the seasonic or xfx listed on the other toms page I linked.
