Do I have a 64 bit processor?

On my 32 bit win XP, system properties says I have an Intel core2 duo T9400, and I found the following page on the T9400: http://ark.intel.com/products/35562

That says the T9400 has a 64 bit instruction set... I thought I had a 32 bit processor, but does that mean I can install 64-bit window 7?

I don't remember any 32bit C2D chips. They all support 64bit now. You can install 64bit win7.

Yes, you can. And it is even a good ideia if you have more than 3GB of memory RAM.

Last 32 bit intel chip was a P4

The P4 is where the switch was made. I think all the early S478 chips where 32bit only, while some of the S775 chips where split. In this day and age you'd probably have to search hard to find a 32bit only chip.
