I currently have 3 screens on hand, and am trying to connect them to my Radeon 6850 graphics card. I spent a lot of time looking around for all the proper things needed, I've read the sticky for setting up eyefinity, but I can't find my exact problem.

I've got 3 monitors hooked in, and all three are detected fine. I'm not having the issue where people must disable one monitor. My computer registers all three, and treats them as normal. However, one monitor is remaining blank. If i move my cursor towards that screen, it disappears and has movement on that screen, its just that the monitor registers as receiving no signal.

I have them connected as such.
hdmi ----> hdmi
vga ---> dvi adapter ---> dvi
vga to dvi cord ---> dvi to displayport

I've tried all kinds of different hookups to the monitors to see if its one monitor. It always just ends up being the vga to dvi cord that decides not to work. I thought it might be a bad cord, but the cord shouldn't register the monitor or its type if its bad. Also, when trying the cord alone with another type, it works fine.

When i attempt to setup eyefinity, it works technically. Everything gets spread across what should be 3 screens, but only 2 show anything.

Any idea what the issue might be?

Edit: edit for clarity.

don't do it... use no more than 1 changer. It really sounds like you need to upgrade the monitors to do it right. I had 3 24" monitors in an EyeFinity. 6' of monitor was way too much. I am back to 2 matched monitors... Game in one and web surf in other.

3 monitors in AMD requires 1 to "see" the Display Port correctly... Only your HDMI is capable. Get an HDMI - Display Port ACTIVE adapter.

Also, while VGA is analog and DVI-I supports both analog and digital, Display Port only supports digital, making a connection like this impossible.
