Using Cougar CF-D14HB-B fan for Corsair H110

A friend of mine is selling his Corsair H110 for half the original price since he will goes full custom water cooling setup. Im going to mount it in front of my antec 302 case once i made modification using a dremel tool. Im going to extreme overclocking with my Intel 3570k but found out that the H110 is little noisy for my taste. My question is can i use a low rpm and slightly low static 140mm fan such as Cougar dual x CF-D14HB-B and Corsair H110 stock fan (at a reduce rpm) as push/pull configuration but will only have a very slight drop in performance? i know that static pressure is important but i saw the specs of Cougar CF-D14HB-B as having 1.4 mmH2O, less .24 than H110 stock fan which has 1.64 mm H2O. Also I like having LED in my front case thats why i choose only the cougar fan as alternative aftermarket fan.

I feel like i really what to retire my ancient CM hyper 212 plus( been using it since lga 775)
that what added to my interest to spend a little in water cooling





 
The only way to determine the end result is to simply try it. Since the H110 isn't factory equipped for Corsair Link, you can use a program such as HWMonitor. When testing the results of using a fan not intended for the purpose that you will lay before it, use EXTREME caution. Using HWMonitor, do not take your eyes off of it for even a second. Start off light in regards to the CPU load and gradually work your way up.

I recommend this program for ANY computer user. It allows you to monitor basically all of your hardware in real/live time. An overclocker shouldn't be without it! :)
