Looking at building a new gaming PC for roughly 750$ (USD). I already have RAM, optical drive, and a storage hdd, but was looking for some input from you guys perusing Tom's forums.

Solution
many people dont like the FX 8320 but i have played in one and i see no diference from an I5-I7 while gaming. I would suggest getting an extra pair of Fans for the Case.
