Hello guys.
Ive been asking this before but at the moment i know more about my budget and the time when i would get my new PC. Most likely it is going to be in the first week of May and my budget will be 1000 pounds, but i could push it a bit if there is a need for that. Im looking for a great gaming PC, because im planning to run games like dayz standalone and other open world games, football games. Also im planning to do some music mixing, basic photo editing etc. I want to use my pc for basic things such as browsing the web, watching movies, skype. My number one CPU is an i5 4670 (not a k version as im not planning to oc it). But i would happily go for an amd fx 8320 but the opinions here are confusing. Overall it is a bit worse cpu but for the price im paying it could be a great option too. What do you think?
Also my number one GPU i want to go for is gtx780 but 770 looks solid too. Is it worth it to spend that extra for 780?
RAM, 8GB
Wi-fi
PSU something between 500-650W depending on GPU i think.
Windows 7 64bit
Motherboard? Can anyone help me a bit here, because it is still a black magic to me.
Case: Im looking for some nice looking, fairly cheap (if you can get a decent and 'cheaper' one). But im open for anything here
Mouse and Keyboard: Is cooIermaster devastator a good buy?
Do i need cooling? Will it improve the overall performance?

My budget is around 1000pounds but obviously I would be happy to get a great PC for 800 too.
I would love to read any comment you have guys. What would you do if you were in my position and what build would you go for? AMD vs i5? gtx770 vs gtx 780?

i5-4670 has 4-cores while FX-8320 has 8-cores but 1 AMD core is equivalent of a half of an Intel core and games only use 4-cores at the moment therefore for gaming the i5 is better and for multitasking etc. the FX-8320 is better.

I would buy the GTX 780 for the extra performance and for the 1GB extra VRAM. The GTX 770 would also be plenty but if you have money buy the GTX 780.

I suggest a 650w 80+ Bronze/Gold Certified PSU.

For a case I suggest a Graphite Series 230T

Thanks. I5 and gtx 780 looks like a good combo. What do you think about i5 4440? Is it enough ? Or is it better to go for 4570/4670?

What about motherboard?

You can run a i5-4440 with a GTX 780 without bottlenecking, if you have the money buy a i5-4670 (or the K version if you want to OC). For a MoBo I suggest a Z87 board such as

- Asus Z87-K, LGA1150, Intel Z87, DDR3, ATX
- Asus Z87-A, LGA1150, Intel Z87, DDR3, ATX
- MSI Z87-G45 GAMING, LGA1150, Intel Z87, DDR3, ATX

By the way ive got an old hard drive from some compaq pc. Its about 8years old and i think its 250gb or 320gb. Would that work fine with the new build so i could get just a solid state one?

I think it's for the best if you buy a 1TB Blue/Black HDD.

The GTX780 will play everything MAX for quite a long time.
i5-4670K does the same as i7-4770K in gaming.

New game engines are using more than 4 cores . Games like BF4 and Crysis 3 can definitely use at least 8 if they're available .

If you have an unlimited budget then sure buy the intel . But you will get very similar gaming results if you use the AMD and you will save enough money to offset the extra cost of a GTX 780

AMD FX 8320
ASUS M5A97 R2.0
I'd OC to 8350 speeds . Very easy using AMD's software

Size the psu using

When games start using +4 cores AMD will be the obvious choice because you get the performance, multitasking and price.
