Pc freezes, even after reinstall, changed components

Hello guys, I have recently reinstalled a windows XP in a client's PC (yes XP yet...), she told me it was working fine but after I reinstalled it, installed all drivers i started getting freezes, so i tried installing the system in another HD, changed Power supply, tested memory with memtest for a entire night, reseted CMOS, removed the motherboard from case and tested with nothing besides the HD, checked the temperature and even so i still get freezes. So i tried running a linux system (mint) and ran fine,
someone please can tell me what i am missing? what's the problem

Yes, completly sure i have reinstalled the system in this same computer some time ago, also after using another HD i installed only the network card drive from the site of the motherboard and still nothing.

components:
Intel Celeron 430 1.80
Maxtor 160GB
Memory DDR2 333 MHz
Motherboard GIGABYTE 945GCM5-L
Windows XP SP3
