I have a TV and a monitor both capable of 1080P setup.

When I have my desktop set to extended so that there are 2 active displays at 1080P each and I am playing a movie on the TV on VLC it is quite choppy. If i drag the movie to the monitor (the other screen) it does not play choppy.

When I set the desktop to mirrored it plays on both and neither are choppy.

Only the TV is choppy and it only occurs in "extended" desktop mode when the TV is not the main desktop.

I have an Asus HD7750 graphics card.
Main monitor is Asus VE228.
Monitor #2 is a TV that is Toshiba 39L1350.
Monitor #1 is hooked up via DVI.
Monitor #2 is hooked up via HDMI.
The drivers are fully up to date.

No it is not choppy in that scenario. Playing a video with the VLC window on the TV while it is the main monitor is not choppy.
I would suspect its a resource priority issue for extended desktops but the non-tv monitor is never choppy under any circumstance.
