I have Windows XP Pro purely as a home server. I installed a SATA 2TB Western Digital hard drive next to the boot drive, for storage only. Bios sees the drive, XP sees that the drive is there, and says the driver is good to go, yet does not show it in My Computer as a useable drive. I don't see any support from WD showing I need a jumper, or a download, or is it just that XP doesn't support 2 TB (one site said it can)?

Go to the WD site and get the drive for XP and large drives... I am pretty sure there is one.

First advice is wrong. All versions of XP already support HDD units up to 2 TB, and have appropriate drivers.

You need to do two steps. First is to go into BIOS Setup to where the new HDD is configured. Near there is a line for SATA Port Mode. (Some have separate lines for each SATA port, and some configure all SATA ports together on one line.) I am making an assumption here that your older SATA HDD's port is configured for IDE Emulation mode. Just make sure the port for the new HDD is also set the same way. If you make any change, remember to SAVE and Exit.

Now, check out WyomongKnott's sticky at the top of this forum:

Pay special attention to his Step 5. This will tell you how to Initialize (Partition and Format) your new HDD so that Windows can use it.
