Is there a way for me to turn any of the extra RAM i have laying around the house into an external HDD or thumb/flash drive? Is there some sort of RAM enclosure, much like HDD enclosure that allow you to turn and internal HDD to an external? If so where can i find one, because i have a number of RAM modules from old pc's of mine that need a purpose.

Ram is not stable, therefore it cannot be used for the kind of storage you are describing. There may be some way to do it, but i promise you it wont be worth it IE its not cheaper than just a new usb drive. Plus ram needs constant power to store memory, therefore the enclosure thing would need constant power of some sort of a battery regulator, etc etc, wayy to expensive type stuff.

I've seen RAM drives before, but always internal, and way more expensive than say, a 3Tb external drive. You can get 250Gb drives off ebay for like 30$, and I doubt you have that much RAM sitting around in need of re purposing. You could, make a Christmas wreath or something crafty like that. Get out the hot glue and go to town. Or, if it's really bothering you, EBay it and use the cash to buy a nice external drive, essentially doing what you want it to do any how.
