Hi guys, I have a Acer Aspire Z3730 All-In-One Desktop that I bought 2 years back and I realize the original RAM that this computer has isn't sufficient to feed my gaming needs. It comes with a 2GB DDR3 Kingston. So I bought 2 new 2GB RAM but it doesn't work at all after putting in, it just gives a steady beep sound through. I checked up many webs and related questions but I really couldn't find one that could explain my problem so it would be great if someone gladly helps me. It has 4 slots for RAM.

The RAM info is as follow via CPU-Z:

Module Size: 2048 MBytes
Max Bandwidth: PC3-10700 (667 MHz) - from what I heard from the store I bought new ram from, it shouldn't be '10700'?
Part No. : ACR256X64D3U1333C9
Serial No. : 5524667F

And also my computer's specs and stuff also via CPU-Z

Sorry, I listed everything down because I don't know which information would be important to solve my problem. In any case, I actually bought 2 2GB RAM from Crucial and the info is as below:

2GB 240-PIN DIMM
256MX64 DDR3PC3-10600

If there is any information there is required and I lack out, please tell me and I would provide it ASAP. Very grateful to whoever reads this and tries to help! Thank you!

I tried your suggestion:

took out old one, placed new one in each slot at a time (each just gave the same steady beep) and of course this happened for the second new stick too.

So basically after reading the comments from your thread, I could possibly conclude that my issue is related to the frequency support for my all-in-one? Hmm. I should try out on changing the BIOS then (if I can).

count beeps and read meanings.
I think you will get '3' with break and again beeping.
But tips are nothing new: just changing ram sticks places , rebooting and finally buying another ram sticks or motherboard.
Its totally fu****...

In your ram website check the numbers ( x- x- x- x). Dont know meanings of it , but then i have changed from default 5-5-5-15 to 9-9-9-15 (in bios) its removes beeping but not shows a display.

try clr_cmos, don't use the old ram. if that doesn't work then...

see that 5-5-5-15 is the part that gets me. Those are ddr2 timings. If your system used ddr2, i somehow doubt it's able to use ddr3 without at least a bios update.

put your old ram in, and try to update the bios... then try the ddr3. don't mix the two.
