just download a recovery disk here http://neosmart.net/blog/2008/windows-vista-recovery-disc-download/ if it asks you for an activation key just use the one on the bottom of your laptop. If you don't know how to activate windows just right click my computer after installation, then on the bottom click change product key, and then type in the key that is shown on the bottom of your laptop.

Do not download the "recovery disk" from that website above. That website is selling a CD that will not fix your issue. It is not a recovery disk, but an in-house download program that they are selling. It will only cause you more problems in the future.

Do you know what the model number of your computer is? I noticed that you wrote down L300 as the model number, however the Toshiba satellite L300 recovery disk requires a few more numbers to make sure you order the correct one.

Order a recovery disk for your exact computer here http://www.recovery-disks.com/customcomputer.html when you type in the information, be sure to include the full MODEL NUMBER - it will be L300-XXXXXX .

Recovery-Disks.com is a company that we have used for years to buy our customers disks, and have also suggested customers purchase from them. They are trustworthy, and the only issue we've had is that sometimes they take 5 days to ship the disk out. That is normal though. Sometimes we get them in 4 days though too.
