Am I missing something here? Music and Youtube are only recorded in stereo so you would expect nothing to come out of the centre speaker. You'll only get something out of the centre speakers when watching a movie in Dolby Digital/DTS or when playing a 5.1 game. Have you tried watching a movie that's encoded in Dolby Digital?

but in my onboard 5.1 channel is giving me soung through all the speakers and very nice.

Not so , i am running 5.1 external creative xfi and have audio all speakers you tube and music , i would asume soundblaster would be same as i used to have a few of them and had no issue , but this one has me stumped for the minute but i will not give up

any help?plzz

ok i think i have solved your problem but not sure where to find it as i do not have your card , you will have to locate it yourself ,
your card has an option to be checked to make stereo to surround , it is called CMSS technology upmixes any stereo audio content to up to 5.1
surround audio. look for cmss and enable it somewhere in your sound panel

Presumably you have CMSS 3D turned on. This is a feature in some Soundblaster soundcards that will upmix stereo into a sort of fake 5.1 surround.

Edit: can't figure out why it's double quoting you. Hmmmm.....

edit again: how are you speakers connected to your soundblaster? Analogue cables? Optical? Coaxial?
