ddr2is really expensive since no one really makes it anymore, so that wouldn't be to good of an upgrade for you. I think the best thing that you could do for yourself if you want to game at mid settings is buy something like an apu. Like buy the apu, motherboard, power supply, and then buy a case.. I'm unsure what the prices are in your country but you can do something like this for your budget after rebates. you probably could use the same hard drive that you have right now. you could probably buy an optical drive if you need one. Laptops are really hard to upgrade as far as gaming goes. you could probably hook up your desktop to a t.v if you have a t.v with hdmi or vga. The only thing you really could do is upgrade the ram, and buy an ssd which wouldn't give you that great of a boost. if the case is out of budget you could leave the motherboard with everything hooked up just laying on top of the motherboard box for a bit while you find a case for it. Like I had my lite coin computer inside a milk crate for like 5 months before I decided to buy a case for it.

Your best bet would be to get something like a gtx 750 ti, These cards are great because they use very low power and they have the new maxwell architecture. So they get a lot of performance without using very much power. So that would be around $150 bucks so you would have about $100 left over
