After installing Windows 7 I downlaoded Firefox and Chrome (diff. browser for different purposes. With both that horrible Yahoo infected my pc with itself. It is trying to hook me up with oodles of US companies - I live in the Netherlands - so after a while I suddenl y had Yahoo.nl! I hate it - if you look for something it offers 3 inches of stores and then they refer you to Ask! for your search. It is disgusting.

Go to your Windows 7 Control Panel > Programs > Programs and Features (Note: You can order the list alphabetically by clicking the 'Name' button in between the 'Organize' button and the list of programs). > Check for any Yahoo programs/toolbars and uninstall them. Once that is uninstalled, I strongly recommend you getting the AdBlock extension for both Chrome and Firefox to get rid of any annoying pop-ups that made their way through the Yahoo programs. To install AdBlock on Chrome, simply go to https://chrome.google.com/webstore/category/apps > Search for 'AdBlock' > Install the first option under 'Extensions' (Note: AdBlock is very adaptable to custom-fit you. Once installed, you should see the AdBlock icon in the top right of Chrome, to the left of the button with 3 lines. Click on it to access and customize all of its options). To install AdBlock on Firefox, simply go to https://addons.mozilla.org/en-US/firefox/addon/adblock-plus/ and click the 'Add to Firefox' button (Note: Make sure you're on Firefox when performing this step because it won't work on any other browser). Once it's finished downloading, click 'Install Now' button if prompted by Firefox. The installation to Firefox should only take a few seconds. To customize Adblock Plus, click the orange 'Firefox' settings button in the top right corner of Firefox. Click 'Add-ons'. Then select 'Extensions' on the left-hand side of the Add-ons Manager page. You should now see your recently installed Adblock Plus extension. Then click 'Options' under the Adblock Plus extension and choose the settings that best suit you. Hope this helps.
