I currently have a GTX 560 Ti 448 ski setup. I am running an Asus 1080p 120hz 3D monitor. I also plan on investing in the Nvidia shield, as well as my 3D gaming. In terms of which card will work best with this setup, should I go with a gtx 760, gtx 770, gtx 770 4gb, or gtx 780? Any Suggestions?

Depends, what's your budget? Obviously the 780 would be ideal, but can you shell out the $550 to buy one?

Is it worth spending the 550 though? I can spend it but is the difference that big between the gtx 780 or say a 770 or a 770 4gb

A 770 would be your best choice for price/performance, but a 780 will give you the most overall performance, if you can justify spending $550 on a GPU.

You think the 770 will give me any trouble when running the 3D gaming?

Ok, so I did some research on 3D vision, and I'm back with an answer. Apparently, 3D vision used to be really taxing on a GPU, but it has been optimized recently. You will still see a performance hit, but not as much on newer cards. Also, the vram usage between standard and 3D gaming is minimal, so more vram won't make much of a difference. HOWEVER, that being said, as textures become more and more detailed with different styles of texture mapping and whatnot, it would be wise to invest in a card with 3GB of vram or more. Nvidia did well with the price/ performance ratio between the 760/770/780, so, for the most part, you get what you pay for. So, that being said, here are my suggestions for different scenarios

1. You want to be able to play TODAY'S games at maximum settins (excluding AA)
-->GTX 770 2GB

2. You want to be able to play FUTURE games at maximum settings, and today's games with AA cranked up, multi-monitor, etc.
-->GTX 780 3GB

ALSO, as an important note, EVGA has announced a 6GB edition of the GTX 780, with a 90-day "step up" program where you can trade in a recently purchased 3GB edition for a 6GB at no cost. Here's the article if you want more info:
