What games would this be likely to run?

Note the keyboard I included isn't branded as a gaming keyboard and with good reason, it's a simple cheap keyboard that does a fine job in gaming/usage but doesn't have any fancy buttons.

Thought I'd post these before posting an Intel alternative build(to give you fair balance, not because I'm fanboy I run AMD fx-8320 :D)

"It has a slower CPU for gaming"...It depends on what games the OP will be playing. I do agree on one thing though, even when not OCed the FX-6300 may need an aftermarket cooler to keep it under Max temp under full CPU load.

The main reason for choosing the amd build was the the mobo option on the intel build, I had an msi mobo and it caused me so many headaches that I won't trust another one, if there was a better option mobo for my price range then I would be swayed towards the intel, also the games I would be looking to play are arma 2/dayz, arma 3, skyrim, minecraft, cod, bf3 etc etc

The motherboard preference is no trouble, you can choose an AsRock or Gigabyte board and stay under £500

You can see in the earlier benchmarks that a GTX 760 is superior to the R9 270X in the games listed above(the ones which are benched) and as for the processors they're fairly similar with the i3 being generally a bit faster but the fx-6300 can be superior in some games but the GPU difference is more noticeable.

Most of these games will run better on the i3.
