hey guys, this is my first time posting here so please don't get mad if i'm in the wrong category, so im trying to build a gaming rig but this is my first time building a pc, so i want you guys to help me decide if this hardwares are compatible:

cpu : Intel Core i5-4670K 3.4GHz Quad-Core Processor
cpu cooler : Cooler Master Hyper 212 EVO 82.9 CFM Sleeve Bearing CPU Cooler
motherboard : Gigabyte GA-Z87X-D3H ATX LGA1150 Motherboard
memory : G.Skill Sniper Series 8GB (2 x 4GB) DDR3-1866 Memory
storage : Western Digital Caviar Blue 1TB 3.5" 7200RPM Internal Hard Drive
video card : EVGA GeForce GTX 660 2GB Video Card
case : NZXT Phantom 410 (Black/Orange) ATX Mid Tower Case
power supply : Corsair CX 750W 80+ Bronze Certified Semi-Modular ATX Power Supply
optical drive : Asus DRW-24B1ST/BLK/B/AS DVD/CD Writer
monitor : Asus VE228H 21.5" Monitor

so is this compatible? that's the only thing i want to know, well i'm still around 15 and my parents want me to learn how to build a computer all by myself, and they say my budget is around 1200 dollar, so if you guys can help me out i would be very grateful. :ange:

Perfect build. Yes it is compatible. Get an i7 4770k, it'll be amazing for gaming( you will have to replace the motherboard). Also, try to get a gtx 770, if not, then get the 670. You might want to get a corsair H100i, it'll allow you to overclock. Overall nice build. Private message me if you have any questions. I'm only 14 so we have age in common!

Do not get the 4770k, get a cheaper CPU (like the ones from AMD), a less powerful PSU (that one is overkill) and a better GPU (that one will bottle neck your CPU in gaming, even if you get a cheaper CPU)

well for the cpu i'm going to keep the intel, the gpu... well that's the most affordable one right now for me, unless you can give me a good recommendation (i'm very bad at choosing computer parts), the psu IS kind of everkill i just think that it's good, but now you say it i think you're right, so what could you recommend me for the GPU and the PSU? sorry if my english is not perfect. and i'm not aiming to play all games on ultra, at least mid to high is good enough for me.

Here's my opinion: Since you're not aiming to play all games on ultra, you can get a cheaper motherboard, same manufacturer, same chipset but maybe not the SLI features. And a GTX 760 is a well-rounded GPU. As for the PSU i guess it's fine... :B

Yeah the i5-4670k is good, and get the GTX 760 or the 770 depending on which one you can afford. As for the brand of the GPU, go for MSI, EVGA or Gigabyte, depending on which you can get for cheap. If you want it to be really quiet, go for MSI.

This is my recommendation for the PSU: http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16817207013
