Hey there, I got an old computer from a friend and decided to give it some use. It runs on windows XP Pro SP3, here are the specs:

-Intel Pentium 4 @3.06GHZ with Hyperthreading. (Dual core CPU)(Can't find out the chip's family name, willy, conroe, etc)
-1.24 GB Ram (has a default memory stick, then a Kingston memory stick)
-Seagate Barracuda 7200 Rpm 80GB
-It's a Dell slim case (pictures ahead)
-Intel graphics controller

I have opened the computer for a total cleanse, and found out that the computer packs no graphics card, it has 2 PCI and 1AGP slot. I also noticed that a regular sized PCI-e card cannot fit into the case in any way or form.

I am looking for an AGP card that can play youtube videos reasonably at 720p at least. It also must be able to play movies (not blu-ray), on a LCD television. I won't be gaming in this computer, I already have one for that. Budget can be changed.

I would appreciate any insight and suggestions! I live in Belgium by the way.

Anything in that era that I listed. It was right around the 6800 for nVidia that PCI-E started to appear. I think the 7000 series GPU's were the last AGP cards that came out for nVidia. There was a 3000 series from ATI, but it wasn't officially supported by them (I think it was a 3870) and there own drivers wouldn't work in many cases. I think ATI's 2000 series were the last official AGP cards that ATI made.

There were at one time a lot of 7000 series cards around, but they may be difficult to find now

I absolutely have no idea at all, all I can see is a sticker saying 230Volts, it's a small PSU, used in Dell slim cases.

I'll look out for those cards! Can they play youtube videos fine? And what about movies?

I see, that's great!

Also, I have talked with my father and I remember that he bought a graphics card for a computer around 2004, when Need for Speed Underground 2 came out. I'll try that one out first, this Easter holidays.

If it doesn't work, I bump this thread.
