So I normally have great ping to CS:GO, I'm talking about 5 ping here and today it seems like the ping has gone down the drain, it is 70 - 120~ now and playing CS:GO is a complete nightmare. Nothing is being downloaded and I can't see what is causing the problem, any ideas?
My ISP is Virgin Media and I have 60 down and 3 up

Hi there,
Having a ping of 70-120 shouldn't effect your download speed too much...
First I would check the computer, is it just this computer or all of the devices in the house?
Then I would try connecting via Ethernet if you already aren't.

Are you trying to connect to the same server? The server could possibly be getting DDOS'ed or other things if you can't download anything.
Also, 120 ping isn't really that bad.
But check pingtest.net and choose the area the server you're trying to connect to is located in, or just the closest one to you, clay be both.
There are a bunch of variables that can make internet connection fluctuate, such as the time of day when there's peak traffic on ISPs.

Odd. In the server browser are you joining servers with as little ping as possible? Obvious one is to not download stuff in the background and defragging. Unplug your internet for a bit maybe.
Also, what about other games? Do you get high ping only in CSGO?
