i have my cpu for like 3 to 4 years now and it keeps bottlenecking if i play any games like need for speed hot pursuit 2012 or need for speed most wanted the games play to 30 or even 40 fps but at times it lags for a well i even tried overclocking but i can't even get higher than 3.1 ghz and my buget is low i can't avoid a quad core cpu yet.

Asrock G31m-s R2.0
Cooler master 120mm fan for the cpu
Gigabyte R7 250 oc edition 1gb ddr5
4gb ddr2 (800)
and my powersupply is a 500watts funny it has no name on it...
so please if you guys have any idea what could be causing this it will be great help! thank you
