I'm deciding between the three types in title and was wondering what others recommend. Probably ordering in a month or two, possibly 3. But looking for a single card. Brand recommendations also encouraged.

Thanks.

The 780ti will give you the best performance but at a heavy price tag. If you can get the 290x at a decent price and it's one that has a nice cooler on it I would go that direction.

And like others have said western digital over seagate any day of the week.

Depends what you want to do. 780 is more than enough for just about anything 1080p. But if you later want to go down the 4K track, then I'd buy a 780Ti and allow to be able to SLI it later. 290x is only OK if you want to do video editing using Open GL support.

I was having the same problem when it came to picking out a new GPU. I previously had a HD 7970 and I had allot of frame rate/driver issues, so I have a sour taste right now when it comes to AMD GPU's. Maybe I just got a bad card I don’t know. So I ended up going with the EVGA GTX 780ti Dual Classified. It isn’t that much more money, and honestly when you are about to drop $650+ is spending another $50 really going to break the bank? From everything I have researched and what I have been told the 780ti is a better GPU.

I hope this helps
