i have an HP H8-1214 with a
Motherboard- M3970AM-HP in it, i've upgraded my Power supply to 600W, but im having an issue finding a graphic's card that will work in it. it came with a Radeon 7450 and i had gone to best buy and tried the Radeon R9 and R7 series that they had in stock because i was told both would work with it, but neither of the cards would work. (nothing would display) i called XFX and they tried trouble shooting and nothing word work so they said that the motherboard probably just doesnt support there cards, im not sure if it doesnt support any 3.0 cards or just theres, i have only tried these. (*note* i did have geek squad try to figure out why it wasn't working, they tried other cards, and other powersupplies)
i had ordered a EVGA GTX 560 Ti but it went on backorder and now they no longer have any in stock. would that graphics card work? please help.. (i'd say money isnt an issue but i'd like to keep it around $300 or less and 2GB in the card)

Did you plug in the power cables to the graphics card? I can't imagine why else it wouldn't work, I believe PCI-E is backwards compatible, for example I'm using a R9 280X in my computer which the motherboard only supports 2.0 and I have no problem at all. Other then that maybe it's your motherboard?

It should support all of those video cards. It a AMD 970 chipset so it should support all of that without issue. Are you sure the PCIe Power Connectors were connected to the video card?
