I wanted to upgrade my PC with KHX16C9B1R/4 but the BIOS wouldn't boot.
I have a motherboard Asus P5Q3 with BIOS version at 1102(the latest) with the QVL

I could not found a 4gb RAM available in my city which is also on the QVL.

I tried manual BIOS settings, like manual seting the frequency and voltage and it didn't work.

The new RAM is fully functional(tested on another motherboard).

Is there any solution to make this memory work on this motherboard?

Regards,
Mircea

Need the FSB at 1600 to run the sticks at that, which will OC your CPU, this will also entail upping the NB and CPU voltage and may well take additional DRAM voltage, and you don't have a lot of room to play with as these are already 1.65 sticks

Thank you tradesman1 for your answer.

I saw that the KHX16C9B1R/4 can work also at 1.5V at 1333.
(This module has been tested to run at DDR3-1600 at a low latency timing of 9-9-9 at 1.65V. The SPD is programmed to JEDEC standard latency DR3-1333 timing of 9-9-9 at 1.5V.)
I wanted those settings to also run with the KVR1333D3N9K2/4.

When I tested the KHX16C9B1R/4, I tested it with and without the KVR1333D3N9K2, and on every slot memory on P5Q3.

The P5Q3 have only even voltage settings, so I will try at 1.64 and 1.66. But I think this voltages will fry the KVR1333D3N9K2
