Hi All,

Just built a HTPC which is running great but 10 minutes into a film and the fan inside the stock PSU goes into overdrive and is very load.

I've been looking around for a quite SFX PSU and have come across the 'Be Quiet' range starting at around £40 but I then seen mentions of replacing the PSU fan with a 'Noise Blocker' on another forum?

I'm looking for some advice - Is it easy to replace the PSU fan and if so which fan would be best for silents?

Links to products/tutorials would be great.

I'm trying to keep the cost down to a minimum.

Many thanks
Ben

The problem with replacing the PSU fan, is it almost always will void your warranty. So if something breaks in it, you're out of luck and need to buy a new PSU anyway lol

The warranty wont matter as if it busts I wouldn't want it replacing with the same one anyway.

Any other suggestions anoyone?
