Well, there are 2 ways :3
1. Use dxdiag.
Search dxdiag in the start button or press Windows+R and type it there. Just run that and you can find out a lot about your computer, including the mobo
2. Go to system information
-Start
-Programs
-Accessories
-System Tools
-System Information

This is all easier on my Windows 8 :p Hope this helps :3

Not too sure. If you could give me the name of the mobo, that would be great. You could always just get it and if your mobo doesn't support it then it will use the max speed it does support. Then you could pull it for future builds :D
