Choosing an Entry Level GPU

So I've decided to build myself an entry level gaming computer. However, I'm constantly wondering if I'm selecting the correct graphics card for my wishes.
For me, I would like to be able to handle a vast majority of games and future games at the recommended settings. I will also probably pair the GPU with an intel i5 4670K. I do not really do much graphics designing/editing, so I understand I do not need a higher end card.
Since I know there are many experts on these subjects willing to help out on this website, I considered asking you guys before I make a final decision.
I tend to prefer nVidia over AMD, but then again, I'd rather have a better value GPU.
Thanks!

Just had a look at Parts Picker UK, and it seems like the 760 is a little over your budget. The 750Ti is below your budget, but it's a capable card. However the AMD 270 is at your budget and outperforms the 750Ti and is only slightly slower than the 760. It uses more power, but there seems to be a big gap in price and performance between the 750Ti and the 760.
