MAJOR PROBLEM!! Help!!

I turned on my computer, after a while I heard a sound of what seemed to be similar to touching two live wires and make it spark. I also have been smelling something come from the case, cant describe it. Im thinking it is my Power supply but I am not sure. The computer doesnt stay on for more then 5 mins at a time.

This is new to me, what could this be?

Open it up, look around. Could be anything, really. Also, do you have a cooling system and what PSU are you using? Does the PSU get really hot?

That is almost definitely the power supply. If you persist in turning it on, it could fail completely, in some cases catching fire. In extreme cases when a power supply fails, it can take out the motherboard, CPU, GPU, memory.

I would replace the PSU pronto and not turn on the computer with this PSU again.

I think it is the PSU. I do not have a cooling system, but i have more then enough fans on it. Also when i put my hand behind the PSU to see if i can feel the air from the PSU fan, I feel barely anything.

I had this exact thing happen to me. Crash, I restarted it, run for a little while, turned off, I restarted it, run again for a short while, turned off. This repeated several times and then finally a loud pop accompanied by a flash from inside my case. Fortunately it didn't take out any of my hardware. Don't tempt it.
