Why are my downloads now slow?

I am currently using a D-link power line adapter to play without the wires. I used to download files and game downloads at 3.5 mbps, (internet speeds are 30 and 5) but now I am only downloading at 100kbps? IDK if the wire is faulty or what, but any replies would be great.

Did this started happening right away after installing the adapter or did this just happen while using the adapter?

I forgot to mention, but I unplugged one when I couldn't find my wireless adapter because I had to go to my grand parents house for the weekend. I found it but I never plugged the adapter back in my power line. I reset ed it though and what I had to do on the original setup. I came back just today and accidentally bent the Ethernet wire a little, but I think its fine. Other than that, it has just been happening,

Maybe the adapter is slowing it down. Try connecting without it.

I don't know what to say about the ethernet cable, I can bend those all I want.

That's a good reason too. Your download speed also varies on where you live, and where the server you're downloading from is located.
