Hello all, first post here and new member. My name is Brian and I'm currently prepping for my third PC build.

Here's what I'm considering:

List of constants:

Keyboard/Mouse combo - Logitech MK120 $20 (F/S)

Power Supply - Rosewill Capstone 750W Haswell-Ready 80 PLUS GOLD $100 (F/S)

RAM - G.Skill Ripjaw 8GB (2x4) 240-pin DDR3 16""0 $75 (F/S)

Hard Drive - Seagate 1TB 7200RPM 64MB Cache 6.0G/bs $65 (F/S)

Case - Rosewill Challenger ATX Mid-Tower $50 (F/S)

Total $310

---

Intel Option:

Intel i5 4670K Haswell 3.4Ghz LGA 1150 84W Quad Core $230 (F/S)

MOBO #1 ASUS z87 Pro $185 (F/S)
MOBO #2 ASUS z87 Plus $160 (F/S)
MOBO #3 Gigabyte GA-Z87X-D3H $130 (F/S)
MOBO #4 ASRock z87M Extreme4 $120 (F/S)

I have used ASUS MOBO's in both of my previous builds and was quite happy with them, but I don't mind a new brand. Is the ASRock a solid option?

---

AMD Option:

AMD FX-6300 Vishera 3.5Ghz AM3+ 95W 6-Core $120 (F/S)

MOBO #1 Gigabyte GA-990 FX A-UD3 $125 (F/S)
MOBO #2 ASUS MSA97 R2.0 970 $95 (F/S)
MOBO #3 MSI 970A-G46 970 $70 (F/S)

The Gigabyte is 4eggs over 1,100 + reviews so am leaning toward it in the AMD tree..but as I said ASUS is top notch in my book. Advice?

Video Card Options:

#1 EVGA GeForce GTX 770 2GB 256-Bit $360 (F/S)
#2 EVGA GeForce GTX 760 2GB 256-Bit $280 (F/S)
#3 EVGA GeForce GTX 750Ti 2GB 128-Bit $160 (F/S)

All things considered if I am not planning on SLI now, would option #3 be viable for at least HIGH settings on all games with shading on? Or would I need option #2? I'm not REALLY considering the #1 due to cost restraint. I will be running HDMI to a RCA 39" 1080p 60Hz LED that's on sale for $250. I'm guessing I will only have $1,100 TOTAL to put toward this..I'm in sales and get commission monthly and am dumping it into this.

I'm pretty sold on Nvidia video cards. My main question here is..I will be playing Battlefield 4, WildStar, and League of Legends primarily. My first build was Intel and the second was AMD - I am not set on either, but it is hard to not notice the price gap. I've read the i5 is significantly better at single core processing over AMD - what would be single core processes? In your opinion should I pony up the dough and get back into Intel?

One last note - My last two PC's I used for 3 years each and was fortunate to sell both at a price that meant my PC's cost me $50-$75/year to use. That is my plan here as well with #3.

I appreciate those that provide feedback on this! I am looking to buy/build April 16th..I've done all pricing @ NEWEGG which has never disappointed me and has entirely free shipping. If there is a cheaper place to get anything please let me know.

Thanks!

Brian
