Hi Everyone,
I recently built a new computer using a G1.Sniper 5 motherboard with an onboard Creative SoundCore 3d. I've had no problems for the past month, and in fact last night I can confirm that sound worked on my system to my connected speakers. However this evening when coming home from work I found that my speakers were no longer producing sound and after looking a little harder and trying to open the Recon 3di utility that had been installed I can no longer find my creative audio device.

Any help would be appreciated.

Did you think to look in Device Manager for any clues? Many people with device issues never think to look in there before posting.

Try re-installing the creative driver package.

I'm not entirely sure why but this morning upon turning on my computer I received a popup that creative recon 3di was being reinstalled and now my sound works. Thanks Phillip for posting back but it seems that my problem has fixed itself which in and of itself is rather strange.

Good -- I never thought to ask you simply to restart Windows - doh! The more we know, the more likely we seem to overlook the simple stuff!
