My desktop pc won't start but the cpu fan and the graphics card fan are running, the power lights are off. This already happened before I just need to keep retrying to run my pc and it will start.

Also there few errors and symptoms like sometimes the pc will start but there's an error says "Insert proper boot media..." or "Missing OS.." something like that. And when the pc start it will be slow, I mean loading the windows logo is taking some time. The pc will suddenly turned off as well, I just can't remember if the fans were still running at that time.

But now after 24 hours of trying I still can start my pc, power lights are still off, fans can still run.

I read on the internet that problems could be on motherboard or power supply. My pc is pretty old, I bought this 6-7 yrs ago or could be older. Here is my motherboard http://www.msi.com/product/mb/G31M3F.html

Do you think the motherboard is the problem ?

Thank you, but I tried removing and installing ram, or removed one ram but didn't work.
I tried removing and resetting cmos battery but didn't work.
I made sure all cables or wires are well connected.

I guess I have to buy a new mobo.

It may be your cpu has died. This is what happens when it doesn't work. Since old tech is as expensive as new I would look at replacing the motherboard and processor.
