At first, it stayed on with the fans and leds working but no display. I read through some threads, fixed my RAM so that it's at 4 and 2 positions (I'd had it at 4 and 3) , hooked up the speaker, but still no screen and no beeps. I tried a few different variations for the ram and got 3 beeps with incorrect ram placement but as soon as I put them back I was back to getting no screen and no beeps. I tried to put them in one at a time to see if one of them was shot but then it started turning on for a second then immediately turning back off, then turning on again a few seconds later and so on until I cut the power. I replaced both ram sticks to their normal places but it still refuses to stay on. I've checked and rechecked all of my connections and everything is brand new. Being my first build ever, I really have no clue where to go from here. Any help at all would be really appreciated!

check the bios rev sticker on the bios chip there been two bios updates for ram and video card issues. (bios 2.4 and 2.5).
try booting with no gpu and one ram stick. make sure the 8/4 pin power plug on the edge of the mb is plugged in. if you can get it to post from onboard video check your bios rev. if it under 2.5 download the newest bios file to a usb stick and use the mb bios update tool.
