I just built my computer over the weekend and its been working fine, but earlier I took out the PSU to check because I started to hear a high pitch whine. When I went to plug everything back in and start up the computer to inspect the PSU better there was a loud pop inside my computer and it started to smoke, but it didn't smell and it was a white smoke. I immediately turned off the PSU and inspected everything from the CPU,Mobo, and GPU and there was no sign of damage. No black mark, no blown capacitor. The PSU was out of the case at the time so I know it wasn't the PSU. When I went to turn the computer back on everything seems to be working like as if nothing had happened.

I saw that someone posted a similar issue last year, but they were able to come up with a possible reason so I wanted to post this issue again to see if anyone knew what could have happened.

Yep I went through all those steps and still nothing. I know I plugged everything correctly, all I did was replug the cords back into the PSU. I didn't mess with everything else.
