AMD 7870 getting extremely low frames on battlefield

All my settings are on extremely low, why is this?

Full system specs? Including PSU, motherboard, RAM, CPU. Everything for that matter.
Monitor and gaming resolution?
Battlefield 1, 2, 3 or 4?
How low is "extremely low"? Post numbers.
WHEN is it at these "low" numbers?

My specs are

AMD FX8350 4.0ghz (no OC)

AMD radeon 7870

600W powersupply

GA-78LMT-USB3 motherboard

and Enermax Ostrog Gt Case

1980 X 1080 monitor
battlefield 3 and 4 get about same frames in loading ill get like 150 but in actually game it will hit 40's even 20's at times. I mean low setttings in the game

yeah should be way higher uninstall the game and reinstall seems to be helping people with this problem also is this windows 7 or 8

That motherboard is a concern.
When playing the game. Run something that monitors CPU speed(CPU-z). I am pretty sure your CPU speed is not running at its rated speed due to VRM throttling.

You need to monitor to see if the CPU does not throttle. For example when your FPS drops, check whether your CPU is still running at 4GHz and not a lower speed.

By the way, you didn't mention monitor resolution? Or what PSU model you have? 600W PSU does not mean anything.

edit: when i play it sounds like a chainsaw for 10 seconds, then eztremly quiet, then a chainsaw 30 seconds later and so on the cycle

go to msi and download the msi afterburner program with it will be a program called kombustor install kombustor run one of the benchmarks what kind of gpu percentage are you getting

DO NOT suggest Kombuster. Its based on Furmark, which literally killed many graphics cards a few years ago.

Stick to Unique Heaven Bench, 3d Mark or similar.

I have used it a lot and have not had any side effects using any of the preset 1080p or 720p benches been using it for years on dozens of systems. But you never know

These days AMD and Nvidia both have driver built in throttling when Furmark or Kombuster. So it might be safe NOW, but its pointless too.

I basically use it on new builds to make sure the cpu is pushing the gpu to 99% use it a lot to check crossfire/sli

Okay so i did some short tests, the gpu load was 90%-95 it kept fluctuating also, my task manager says only 4 GB of my ram is usable, is this normal? http://gyazo.com/e27a2e1735fa6c7369ad80e58b77f651 I have two sticks of 4gb

close to a hundred percent is great did you re install the game also try reseating your ram do you have 64 bit windows

Yeah lower ram can affect it try going to the search and type msconfig click on it then click on boot then advanced from there see if maximum memory is checked should be top right if it is checked uncheck then reboot.
