Looking for a pair of gaming monitors around $300-400 price range each.

I see the high reviews on the 1ms ASUS and Benq monitors, but I don't want to sacrifice being able to lay back and watch a good movie or being able to see the brilliant graphics and colors in games like Skyrim just to have what would to me be an noticeably faster response time.

Would like something that is a balance between performance and image quality.

I guess you want a ips monitor then and not a normal tn screen.

the ips have much better colours and viewing angles, the only downside really is the response time so you need to look for something like 5ms thats should be ok, but in some games you may still notice ghosting, it depends on the monitor, brand itself too.

And i dont think you are looking for 120-144hz monitors either because with ips you only get 60hz unless you buy those from korea that you can overclock.

Do you want only 2 or 3 screens? if 3 and want to run them in crossfire or nvidia surround you need to look for screens with small bezels because otherwise the border between the screens will be annoying.

And what size screen do you want?

i would recomend asus they...

i would recomend asus they make really good monitors in almost all price ranges.

something like this they have really thin bezels only 0.8mm you can look at their other models.
