Out of Range

I have Built a new PC and now i have a problem with the Windows 8.1 installation. After a while during the Installation, I get a Black Screen with the message Out of Range. Please help me!!

bob if your using an older monitor plug it into the vga port. it should keep the pc when the video drivers load to reset them to a setting your monitor cant support. look online at your monitor support page see what it range is. if it not the monitor then the pc may be switxhing from the onboard to the gpu or from the gpu to onboard. if it a newer intel or amd mb go into the bios set the primany display from ipgpu to pci/peg if your using a gpu. this keep the display from falling over to the onboard and stay with the gpu.
