hdd instalation problem

hi, i installed a new 500gb hdd in a dell inspiron laptop which had a 500gb hdd but it says the hdd needs to be larger than 4?? ,sorry cant remember 494 or 465 something like that.can anyone advise please?

If you mean the advertised 500GB HDD is not 500 GB, that is normal. Any and all 500GB HDD's will have below 500 GB. As for what you mean must be lager than 4, I have no idea what that is about or what you are saying.
