What is they make and model of the PSU? Any BSOD's involved (set BIOS/UEFI to not auto start on failure)?

psu is antec hcg 520M and just as i read that it went to a blue screen (windows 8) and said that the pc ran into issues that it needs to restart.. I ran bf4 and minimized it, my cpu shot up to 50+ degrees

edit: went to around 60 to 70 degrees..

Start with making sure all drivers are up to date then run Memtest on the ram http://memtest.org/

Run on both first several passes, if error then individually again.

not to sure as it was a prebuilt pc.. it says intel E9737 on the face of the cooler attached.. If i was to run the memtest tonight and leave it alone until tomorrow will it just loop and start a new test?

Ok so I left it run for 7hrd and 20 mins its still going and I got 1 error.

So test 5.. pass 4 ... count 1

So could it be my ram that's restarting my pc?

It can be causing errors and creating BSODs that may restart it.

RMA should work, do not know if they will do advanced replacement.

Yes those are fine, you can test your ram as well by removing one stick at a time and see if the freezes disappear.

Ok so what I did in the bios was set it back to default settings for the ram it now says the "dram" is disabled.. tried anothet memtest this time I got 4 errors out of 7 passes. Its looking more of a faulty ram stick rather than overheating..

Should have no errors, you can use the report for your RMA request.

800 is actual speed giving 1600 effective which is correct.
