Restore from System Image - I'm EFI, need BIOS

So my boot drive died recently, and I've gotten a new one, installed windows on it, and found out that I had a system image to restore from. Awesome! So I went through the process and got

"Firmware incorrect. The image was created on a computer with BIOS firmware, this computer is using EFI"

...I have absolutely no idea how to go forward with this. I checked all through my UEFI menu (the boot screen doesn't really give me much else in terms of options), and I can't find anywhere on it where it even mentions BIOS.

My motherboard is an ASROCK Z77 Pro4 running some recent version of the ASOCK UEFI firmware (Z77 Pro4 P1.20). I'm trying to install windows 7 on a fresh boot disk while using a system image to restore. Any assistance would be much appreciated.

Wow. This is just weird. So I reset the disk, removed the partitions, reformatted everything, so now it's back to how it was when I unpacked it. Then I try restoring a system image.

"Error restoring system image.

No disk found to restore the"

...And then it just stops. Like, it literally just stops mid-sentence. You can see a few pixels of the tops of a few letters of the next sentence.... What even the... I don't even... what the fuck?!

EDIT: And now I've reinstalled windows and am getting the same error. Yay!

(Keep in mind that this is a translation from German...)

I don't know how to do that. If I manage to recover the files from my HDD, which I accidentally deleted and formatted (yes, yes, "how do you accidentally format a hard drive?"), I'll give that a try. The new error seems to be caused by my new SSD being marginally smaller than my old one. Yay. :/
