I have a question concerning updating my motherboard's BIOS. I recently purchased a Biostar Hi-Fi B85S3+ Ver 6.x (LGA1150). It's been running great with my MSI TF GTX760. Just a few hiccups with some games, but they don't appear to be related to system problems or anything like that.
I noticed that there have been some BIOS updates on the product page.
Currently, the motherboard was shipped to me with B85BR731 (7/31/2013) and the most recent update is B85BR213 (2/13/2014). Is it worth updating? The two most recent updates were for the CPU micro code. What's that and why would it be important?
Also, what would the safest way to update be? Download/unzip the latest BIOS update (B85BR213) onto a formatted flash drive (fat32) and go into the BIOS Flasher and do it that way?
