Hello,
On last Thursday night, I turned off my computer. And when I came back home on Friday afternoon, I pressed the power button and nothing happened. Change the cable and the wall socket place nothing happened. Used it in another room nothing. So I thought it was the PSU because I heard clicking sound but it was very low that I had to stick my ear to hear it. So I bought a 600W PSU on express post. It arrived, and I fixed it on my case. Nothing worked. All connections were set up correctly and everything was in place. Once my PSU fried, but my PC was able to turn on but beep for few seconds and then shuts down. I had few LEDs turned on at that time, including the graphics card and wireless net card. The CPU is probably working fine, because if it wasn't, at least it would show me the BIOS. I reset the CMOS and nothing happened. The only thing in my mind now is buying a new motherboard from AsRock. My motherboard model is Gigabyte H61M-P2P.

Specs:
600W PSU
I5 3470 CPU
12 GB RAM
2x 1TB HDD
1x DVD-RW x24
Asus Radeon 7770 1GB GDDR5 Graphics card

Please help me out ASAP, as my holidays are coming soon and I want to play games on the Holiday :)
.
Thanks,
Fouad.

If nothing comes on at all and you replaced the PSU to no avail, i have to ask because this even happens to me sometimes.. Is the 4 pin power connector by the CPU plugged in?.. (just covering my bases)

If it is, then it is most likley the Mobo, but you can do a few things before you buy one.. unplug everything, HDD's CD/DVD ALL but ONE Ram, take out GPU if you have one.. and then try and boot.. (with no USB's or ethernet)

if that works, something is shorting it out, you can either try other HDD ports, or Ram slots (that is if you have 4.. i didn't google your Mobo) .. but that would still be a Mobo Problem..

If you were gone when this happend it could have been an electrical serge.. =\

Thanks for your response. I checked my 4 pin connector and it's plugged correctly. I didn't try disconnecting everything from the Mobo except for the stuff you mentioned, I will try it when I get back home and tell you what happened.I only have 2 RAM slots which is fine i will place it on the main one. I was thinking it's a power serge because it happened on a stormy night and lights were flickering a bit. I will try checking it out and give you a response.
