Assassis Creed Black Flag Question. [Updated]

Hey guys , recently bought a friends Asus e-1GB GTX650.

Have been getting desirable FPS in ALL games , including AC4 : Black flag.

But there are some areas where the fps drops drastically to 25-30 fps, and that mainly areas with lots of foilage. [Small islands etc]

I read somewhere that the game applies Tesselation to ALL the foilage item which causes lag, and updating it would improve it.

I have updated the game to v1.04, ad see no difference in performance in foilage areas.

Is there any other update that fixes this lag ? If so please tell me :)

Lowering resolution/settings makes no difference.
Drivers are up-to-date! Driver version 335.23

I get 40+ fps in sea and 30-40 in cities.
Settings: Resolution 1400x900
Fxaa
everything ormal and PhysX iff.

Rig: AMd apu a10 6800k
Asus gtx 650
Gigabyte FM2 Mobo
8Gb ddr3 1333mhz.

---------------------------------UPDATE !--------------------------------------

OKay i found out the answer.

The EVIRONMENT QUALITY was the Culprit.

I set it to LOW, and now im getting 40+ FPs in cities and Foilage areas.

Now my question is, does the "Environment Quality" Setting effect the CPU or GPU.
Cause i have a Feeling my new a10 6800k is aldready getting outdated [if its the CPU :( ]

  1. Make sure you have your AA and anisotropic filtering turned off - these are going to be the two hardest settings on your card. I haven't played the game since release, but there may be an option for tessellation in the settings that you can turn all the way down.

I'm also curious, why did you buy an A10-6800K if you were going to get a graphics card anyways?
  2. Well, I bought a a10 6800k in hopes that i can Dual Graphics with my HD 6570 and get better graphics performance.
But as usual , that was a false promise,

have had BAD experiences with AMD , both CPU ad GPU,
and my games would actually LAG with Dual graphics turned ON
    .
I tried a friends 2133 mhz RAm , with no difference at all.

In the end , i bought a second hand GTX 650 which my good fried sold to me :]

I really feel cheated , cause im using it only for the CPU POWER,
and relying on it to last at least 2 years till i start earning and upgrade my Rig. :(

PS; i just saw a 1.06 update, does that fix any lag ?
  3. I just started playing the game last week. I have yet to sit down and mess with the video settings. I basically went in and turned everything to max which probably explains why I'm only getting 30FPS. I'll probably go home today and change the settings to what Nvidia recommends to see where it plays out.
